Fundamentals of Tableau
Tableau Desktop is part of the suite of tools from Tableau which enable data to be analysed and published from a variety of sources.
With Tableau Desktop, you get a workbook authoring tool that enables you to connect to and query data from different sources using connections. From the datasets you build, you can create worksheets and Visualizations which can then be shared or published as dashboards.
This course introduces Tableau Desktop concepts, the interface and terminology. You will connect to data, prepare the data and create Visualizations in worksheets to produce dashboards or other outputs.
Course Prerequisites

Be able to create formulas using standard aggregate functions

Able to apply data processing techniques such as filtering and sorting

Anyone who needs to work with data to be able to connect, process and analyse the data to produce suitable output at all levels within an organisation.

It is assumed that attendees on the course are already familiar with charts and fundamental data processing concepts.
